Lists are interesting when it comes to EDH. because you do evaluate most of these pretty well, I’m kind of disappointed that prime time is number one in green, but like Arabidopsis says evaluating the cards in a vacuum does little to help it makes me feel like you are just stating the top five cards in each color and if you are in one of those colors you just jam those in there. Whereas I feel when you make an EDH deck the cards in it coincide with some sort of theme that correlates with the general you choose for your deck.

For instance some EDH decks are for fun so you put cards you would love to play with regardless of worth but for the sheer joy of casting that spell. Whereas say you are being that guy and you want to make a Jhoira of the Ghitu deck there are very specific cards that fit into the deck.

Evaluating cards in a vacuum is not a bad practice I just think it is kind of awkward for a format such as EDH.

Also Jace, The mindsculptor wasn’t mentioned anywhere this makes me a very sad panda.

Personally, I'm not a fan of this kind of list now. Certainly because you mention you evaluate these cards based on a vacuum. This kind of articles make people focus on the auto includes in EDH decks, and less about the fun.

For me, this is the EDH paradox. The format is now more popular then ever, but there is less variation then before.
People all play the same cards.
