Perhaps drafting somewhere between a 50-70 card deck? It would certainly cut down on draft/build time.

The biggest problem I see with trying to maintain the deck size of typical EDH decks with cube is that solutions such as playing a league to make up for how long draft/build takes makes things even more miserable for the person that isn’t satisfied with his/her draft deck.

The idea behind 100 card singleton is largely that each game feels different, which is the same angle that drafting at all tries to capture. Smaller deck sizes just makes sense to me.

I could imagine maybe making it into a league that spans a whole weekend or even longer. Perhaps players could ante sideboard cards to make it worth while to play several times. That way you could make your deck better by winning cards.

The problem I see though is that drafting this many cards and then building a deck is going to take far too much time to make it feasible. It feels as if it could easily take 3 hours before we could even start playing. If you have all day and most of the evening or even night that would be fun, but are there many groups out there that play that long on a regular basis? We start around 13:00 and end around 18:00 so we’d be lucky to get in more than 1 game.
