Thanks for the props. The Insider articles are all much shorter than mine are, but they have good information.

I bought at closer to 17.5 cents than a quarter, I outed them in bulk as part of a larger deal with someone who would pay me 12 cents on 10 cent uncommons if I moved him a certain number of rares, and it freed up some cash to buy a shitload of Thundermaws. I was sick of looking at the stupid blessings because they reminded me of what a bad spec I made. Honestly, I regret nothing. The opportunity cost of not having a ton of cash right then and there that day would have meant I got fewer Hellkites in exchange for having a box full of bulk rares that would likely be bulk if I wanted to buy back in and may or may not go up. I regret nothing. I wouldn\’t call my play \’folly\’- the true folly was going deep on a card like Collective Blessing that I didn\’t believe in as a spec because I heard multiple other people clamor about it. Trust your gut, folks.

Why on earth would you move out of your Collective Blessing position to sell them at bulk? If you bought at .25, and KNOW you can always sell at .15, since you’ve already made the purchase and the initial $45.00 is gone, you basically only have that $20.00 you could recoup invested in them at this point. That’s not quite the ideal way to say it, but I’m sure you get the point?

This is where the “Medina school” fails… unless you’re truly piss poor, selling out of a position like that to get $20.00, and missing out on a HUGE potential gain seems like folly to me.

Personally, I lean towards a hybrid approach. Set aside X dollars for flipping, and Y dollars for speculating. AND keep Z dollars free (or easily liquid) just in case a true can’t miss scenario pops up.
