In reply to Jonathan Sykes. Wouldn't be surprised. The problem is, which I didn't foresee at the time, was that Sphinx's Revelation just filled the "control finisher" role much better. But if Frontline Medic or other answers to non-creatures become popular that could change, especially after rotation. Basically, the power level on Niv is so high that it's hard to imagine it not get played somewhere. And at $3, it would spike hardish.

I remember a time when Olivia was $3.Then it spiked to $15. Now it’s cooled to around $8-9. Niv-mizzet is now $3 (and sometimes less). Could we see the same history for Niv-mizzet?

I am not convinced he was wrong about niv mizzet. I maintain everyone who plays magic is wrong about niv mizzet.
