@ Bring to Light-It’s still important to note that if you cast it to find Jace..it still costs you 5 mana…and when you flash it back with Jace…it still costs 5 mana. I’m still not sold on this card…I think it’s got a lot of hype and it does some cool stuff…but I feel like its terrible against control…since they can let you search out for your card and then counter when you cast it for free…

true, true, I was thinking from a play ability standpoint and you were from a money standpoint. As neither are mythics they will be opened and drop in price. I also failed to realized how widely opened this set will be because of expeditions. look at siege rhino, insane card, but only like $3 from the $8-$10 it once was due to the fact that fetches caused soo many packs to be opened. (also great draft format)
the only way for them to go up as a non mythic and not starting as bulk like Hangarback is if it is DTT/foil Cruise level of card (4x in every top Modern and Legacy deck)

glad you liked my thoughts on those cards.

I can see those points being an addition to why they’re good. I already had them in the highest tier (top tier) so I do agree with the premise they’re strong cards.

Your points are valid, and solidify my thoughts on these cards being the best of the bunch. Bring to Light also tutors up cards like DL Ojutai with full converge cost, which is inherently powerful too. Just in terms of a financial evaluation, a lot of these cards will end up losing value regardless if they’re good cards.

1. Radiant Flames: I think that this card is better than you give it credit for. In Standard, it will completely fill the role of Anger, and in Modern, I feel that this will be run with or instead of Anger. Important thing to note is that it is more flexible, if you have a swiftspear and a goblin guide, but they have a confidant, or any other creature with 1 toughness, ypu can just cast it for red mana and have a one sided wipe. Because of this, I give it a higher rating

2. Bring to Light: I think that this card is strong on its own, but PLEASE do not overlook it’s interaction with Jace. You can cast to fetch jace, -3 and cast using jace. Having up to 8 tutors in a deck is insane (considering Jace dominates all formats, I can see this interaction begin very common and very relevant.) I think this will be a multi-format staple.
