Very informative. There were a couple things I think were overlooked:

Duel Deck and Planechase Anthologies — It’s notable that WOTC is beginning to rerelease a selection of older supplemental decks as “_____ Anthology” every year, as noted by the Commander Anthology that’s being released this summer.

A couple glaring omissions from the “notable cards” — Ancestral Vision from the DD:Jace vs. Chandra set, and The Rack from Duels of the Planeswalkers. Vision is the most expensive card in the set by far, and that version of The Rack is the only one printed in the new card frame with new art. It’s the most expensive printing, more expensive than the original Antiquities, with the only foil printing (Time Spiral) being pricier.

Check mtg librarities for the Rivals stuff.

pi, I wholeheartedly agree with the tables thing. I don’t like how wordpress does tables (especially since I tend to use them a lot), however, I still love how much information tables can convey in a structured manner that is still relatively concise.

You have a valid point about the IE/CE sets and World Championship decks, however, while writing this I wanted to stick to cards that were legal in some tournament level formats and while I know that Unhinged/Unglued, are not, they were draftable when they came out so I left them in.

There’s definitely a lot of additional products that could be discussed in any future article (Pins, Playing cards, the original computer games, etc.)

Thank you. This one definitely took longer than I expected, but I learned new things in the process so I enjoyed writing it/researching it.

The Scathe Zombies shown is not actually from the Rivals set: the Rivals set has a 1995 copyright date and a small misprint on the back that distinguishes the cards from regular 4th. Instead it’s from the Introductory Two-Player Set, which did have a 1996 copyright date and it could be from either the Dutch or English version of that set. In The Netherlands you get them very often in collections and they tend not to be valued over their 4th counterparts.

Anthologies holds many misprints, like the 2/2 Common Mirri. This might’ve been nice to include.

Due to the formatting of the tables every time the “notable cards” go over 2 lines it becomes a bit unclear which cards belong to which product. I first thought Berserk was listed as part of FTV: Dragons.

Don’t forget the World Championship Decks as other supplemental product.
