Brian you might be right about that. Most of these yield very modest gains, and on one transaction I lost some potential profit on a sale where I sold too soon because the price continued to increase, so jumping to sell them isn’t always ideal anyways.

David I think highly of your articles and your opinion so I’m taking your comment to heart. I’m thinking that selling on e-Bay as a pre-order item would be more fitting and maybe a viable route.

Agreed 100%. Selling cards you don’t have in your possession is basically trying to do a futures contract on said cards and means you will NOT meet the TCGplayer requirements of shipping a product out within 48 hours (as you are unlikely to have it in your possession within that time frame). This honestly seems like a dangerous road to travel down….

I think it’s questionable to list cards for sale that you don’t possess and might end up causing you more hassle than the few dollars you might stand to gain.

When I try spec’ing on cards on ebay, there’s about a 5% chance the seller either claims to have shipped the card when they didn’t and I have to get Ebay involved for a refund, or they go radio silent and again I have to get Ebay involved. I find it a funny coincidence all these orders don’t involve tracking, since that way it gives the seller an out to say they don’t know what happened.
